My kids occasionally wet the bed. One of my kids wets the bed more than the others, but really doesn't want to wear a pull-up. The main issue with bed wetting is to protect the mattress. I suppose it's possible to be charged for damage, though I've never heard of this happening. I've found the best way to deal with bed wetting is to notify the hotel when you check in that you have a bed wetter and need plastic and extra towels to put under the sheet. The hotel's extra large garbage bags and laundry bags work best. I layer the plastic first, then a towel, then the sheet. If my child doesn't wet the bed, great. The layers can stay on the bed an extra night.
If my child does wet the bed, it's not a big deal at all. I leave the card on the bed that indicates that the sheets need to be changed. If I'm staying another night, the housekeeper will usually automatically put more plastic and towels down. Just in case she doesn't, I always ask for more plastic and towels by phone early in the day, so that I'm not stuck at bedtime waiting for housekeeping.
